Families cleaned up their houses, decorating Gudi's and houses. the morning puja's and gudi's put up in the balcony this festival lightens up the city even in the daylight.
The festivals left their marks on the city market and this is impossible the festival is not visible in markets. the special discount on electronics, golds and gadgets is the catchy for the crowd. 

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections upped the pomp and grandeur at the age-old celebrations at Vaijapur. Traditionally, a day before the occasion, a Gudi is raised in a cremation ground in Vaijapur to predict what is in store for the future with the help of crows. 
According to this year's prediction sought for the government, the government elected in 2019 will not look after the people. 
the maharshrian headgears and women’s in colourful pink sari’s gathered in Kala chabutra in Kranti chowk and shouted the slogans. The colours are on the street, cloths, faces and city as well. The New Year is on the faces of the people when they are enjoying and smiling.
