Forrest  Gump is American drama/comedy movie. Starring tom hanks, robin wright, Gary sinise, sally field. Directed by Robert Zemeckis Movie is based on  novel of the same name by Winston Groom.
A timeless and beautiful movie. Forrest Gump is truly a modern epic. It's hilarious, heartbreaking, sometimes breathtaking, and completely unforgettable. The scope is impressive. Never does the movie feel slight or insignificant. It encompasses the entire human emotional spectrum, is impeccably acted, especially by Hanks, and it contains some of the most memorable characters in film history. At the risk of sounding too overjoyed, it's an absolute classic. Forget the cynics and their campaign against anything emotionally touching. This is one of the greatest films of all time. It's an accomplishment that has stood the test of time and shows no sign of aging.
The major conflict of the present movie is the stereotypes perception of mentally challenged people as cripples; Forrest Gump is not a smart man and he understands this from the very beginning of his life. However, Gump manages to live a decent life, to achieve success that may be never achieved by normal people and becomes a hero of the United States, then a tremendously rich man and finally a happy father. There is hardly anyone who can boast such achievements within one life, and the only wisdom Forrest follows is very simple: “You have to do the best with what God gave you (Memorable Quotes for Forrest Gump).  In the movie they used some visual effects like
Gump with President John f Kennedy . A variety of visual effects were used to incorporate Tom Hanks into archive footage with various historical figures and events.
Ken Ralston and his team at industrial light and magic were responsible for the film's visual effects. Using CGI techniques, it was possible to depict Gump meeting deceased personages and shaking their hands. Hanks was first shot against a blue screen along with reference markers so that he could line up with the archive footage. To record the voices of the historical figures, voice actors were filmed and special effects were used to alter lip-syncing for the new dialogue. Archival footage was used and with the help of such techniques as chroma key image wrapping, morphing, and rotoscoping, Hanks was integrated into it.
Produced on a budget of $55 million, Forrest Gump opened in 1,595 theatres in its first weekend of domestic release, earning $24,450,602.
The film took 66 days to surpass $250 million and was the fastest grossing Paramount film to pass $100 million, $200 million, and $300 million in box office receipts (at the time of its release).The film had gross receipts of $329,694,499 in the U.S. and Canada and $347,693,217 in international markets for a total of $677,387,716 worldwide.
This movie was got huge success, it 29 awards out of 61 nominations. Won 6 Academy Awards, including best movie, best actor in leading role is Tom hanks. Best director Robert Zemeckis.
